Our editor and founder Emma, has been on a gut health journey for a year now after a nasty run in with a parasite and a green smoothie has been her post-exercise tradition for years, consumed as her first meal of the day.
Lately, she’s updated her original recipe to be more gut health and parasite specific and she’s found the winning combination. This smoothie is a powerhouse of plant nutrients that also have such positive effects on skin health and vitality, and also provide the fiber and protein to help keep you satisfied and fired up through the morning as well as being ohhh-so nurturing on your gut..
Find out all the ingredients you need to make Emma’s new green smoothie below.
- ½ cup frozen pineapple chunks
- 1/2 large banana
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) coconut water
- 2 tablespoons avocado
- 1 teaspoon packed fresh grated ginger
- 1 scoop White Wolf greens
- Handful Spinach
- Teaspoon of nut butter
