Why cycling is the hot exercise to do this SUMMER

Oh the joys of riding a bike. You can leisurely zoom around your suburb, commute to work, or, you could remain totally still, in your lounge room, while getting your heart rate up and your sweat on!

The benefits of spin are never ending, so we sat down with Angharad Saynor, Master Trainer at Infinite Cycle to get a better understanding around why it's such a top-notch workout and the perfect sweat sesh, pre-summer!

Take it easy (on your joints)

Cycling is low impact on your joints, but high impact on your cardio health & fitness. Spinning enables you to get your heartrate up and sweat bucketloads, burning hundreds of calories whilst not impacting your knees, hips or ankles, unlike a lot of other cardio sports – win win!

Keeping up with old mate

When you find yourself a subscription with timed classes, or distance-based challenges you can make sure you are hitting those daily, weekly or monthly goals. Try an online class if you have a bike at home, or pop into a cycle studio for accountability in the form of statisticaltracking and timed classes.

Work smart (and a little bit hard)

The bikes at Infinite Cycle work more than just your legs! We use state-of-the-art smart bikes which tilt 22 degrees in each direction – just like a real bike. This technology doesn’t just make the workout more thrilling (and realistic), it also delivers serious physical benefits. The movement of the bike forces muscles to engage that wouldn’t otherwise fire-up when riding a regular stationary bike.

The result? Compared to other stationary bikes, you’ll burn 20% more calories, work your core and upper body way harder, and protect your joints from the unnatural stressors that are usually part-and-parcel with riding normal indoor cycles.

Building core stability and upper body muscles in a spin class has never been easier, jump into an ICRhythm class and make sure you're working out the whole of your body for optimal workout results.

Cycling is going to get you sweaty, get those endorphins flowing and heart rate racing with any type or cycling, indoor or out. Make sure you are rehydrating afterwards though with water or hydralytes so you can hit the ground running (or cycling) for tomorrows workout.
